Apply now

We are sad to inform you all that the Minority Changemaker Programme 2020 has been cancelled due to the ongoing corona pandemic. All participants and partners have been informed via email and Facebook.

The programme will open for applications for spring 2021. Watch this space for info during the summer.

We were looking forward to meeting the 35 participants from 16 different nationalities, having discussions in class, watching friendships grow, behaving stupidly in the bar, going on excursions, listening to stories, talk, laugh, and cry together for three months. The project has been under way for almost two years – damn you, virus!

There are several reasons as to why we choose to cancel now; the major concern is safety: It seems unrealistic that all of Europe should be open for travel within the near future – let alone the next couple of weeks. On top of that, at the moment it seems irresponsible to gather a large group of people from different areas in a small and intimate setting.

The other major reason for cancelling is the quality of the programme; we can see how much of the stuff we have planned is simply being either cancelled or have become impossible to do. Already, the YEN Easter seminar has been cancelled and it is very likely that both the “Folkemøde” and Roskilde Festival are cancelled as well. We had several minor excursions planned to sights that are closed for now – just as it seems unrealistic to take 40 people on a bus tour through Europe in June going in and out of hotels that we cannot book. We also have guest lecturers coming to the school from different countries and we don’t know if they can travel. And last but not least, “Højskole” is about a closely-knit community with friendships built over hours and hours of being together. Would this be the same if you only had eight, six, or four weeks at the school?

All in all, this is why we choose to cancel and not “just” postpone a couple of weeks again: We can no longer provide you the programme we have promised and are proud to present.

The price to participate is 500 € in total.

This price is inclusive VAT and cover accommodation, all meals, lectures and field trips. Also we cover your travel expenses up to 150 €, when you arrive at the school at the beginning of the course and leave at the end of the course. The price does not include course material such as books and instruments.

After submitting the application form the Minority Changemaker Programme will send you an invoice for the deposit of 100 € and a participation contract which you need to sign and return to us. The enrollment is binding for the student as soon as the deposit has been paid.

Minority Changemaker Programme’s number of participants is limited to 40. Deadline for applications are March 1st - EDIT: WE HAVE EXTEND THE DEADLINE TO ACCOMMODATE THE LAST APPLICANTS. VERY FEW PLACES LEFT!

Minimum age to participate is 18 (as of April 1, 2020).
